Chris Randles

Chris Randles has been the President and CEO of SpaceClaim since September, 2008.  Over the last four years, SpaceClaim’s sales have grown more than thirtyfold as it has evolved from insurgent startup to category leader, with tens of thousands of copies sold, and thousands of companies added to its customer list.  SpaceClaim’s modern and innovative direct modeling products have made 3D accessible to millions of engineers in manufacturing, and sparked a revolution in mechanical CAD.

Randles has over 25 years’ experience in the global application software industry. His career has encompassed a variety of sales, marketing, and general management positions in the US and Europe for application and enterprise software companies. He has contributed successfully to new and established enterprises, and has managed businesses at all stages of development, from startup to turnaround and profitable growth. He has a strong belief in, and commitment to global strategy.  Randles was most recently Entrepreneur-in-Residence at Borealis Ventures.  Prior to Borealis, Randles led the management buyout of Mathsoft, and served as its Chairman, President, and CEO until the company was acquired by PTC in 2006. Randles holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees from the University of Oxford, England.
