The future of digital realities
Synopsis:
Martin looks beyond what the current Digital Realities (VR, AR, MR) can offer and explores the how these technologies will evolve and ultimately transform the world of work in the future. Using his own experience in facilitating the early adoption of VR and more recently AR, he will now look beyond the headset, to see what Digital Realities will become as the technology matures.
Bio:
In 2000 Martin founded Soluis with the aim of delivering best-in-class 3D visualisation and interactive presentation methods. Now 17 years later he has built three successful businesses to form Soluis Group.
His vision to connect the latest digital technology platforms to the needs of different market sectors has led Soluis to be amongst the earliest innovators in bringing the benefits of augmented and virtual reality to the construction sector. His aspirations are to pioneer extending these benefits into further sectors.
This drive in applying technology to some of the industry’s most fundamental challenges has led Soluis to win two major innovation competition wins. This includes scooping one of only three inaugural Higgs EDGE awards at the Scottish EDGE Finals and winning Innovate UK’s IC Tomorrow competition to develop augmented reality (AR) software to be utilised on site at Crossrail’s sites in London.
