Gian Paolo Bassi brings over 25 years of experience in 3D, CAD, and PLM to the SOLIDWORKS ecosystem at Dassault Systèmes. As SVP of Mainstream Innovation Business & Customer Role Experience, he leads the go-to-market strategy and cloud solutions on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform for SOLIDWORKS and mid-market users.
Previously as CEO of SOLIDWORKS, he expanded the brand and global community, and earlier led SOLIDWORKS R&D, defining product strategy and cloud innovation. He also served as CTO of ImpactXoft, contributing to technologies now in CATIA and co-inventing five patents. He holds a Mechanical Engineering degree from the University of Bologna.
