Gian Paolo Bassi brings more than 25 years of experience across the 3D, CAD, and PLM industries to the Dassault Systèmes SOLIDWORKS ecosystem. As Senior Vice President, Mainstream Innovation Business and Customer Role Experience, he leads the global go-to-market strategy and the Customer Role Experience distribution channel for a portfolio of cloud solutions on the 3DEXPERIENCE platform, tailored to SOLIDWORKS customers and mid-market companies in the mainstream innovation space.
Previously, Gian Paolo served as CEO of SOLIDWORKS, where he focused on strengthening the brand and expanding its global user community. Before that, he was Vice President of Research and Development for SOLIDWORKS, responsible for defining the product and technology roadmap, including the development of the brand’s cloud applications.
Prior to joining Dassault Systèmes, Gian Paolo was Founder and Chief Technology Officer of RIWEBB, where he led the development of new technologies for the mechanical and architectural design automation industry in collaboration with Dassault Systèmes. Earlier in his career, he served as Vice President and CTO of ImpactXoft, leading the development of functional modeling and collaboration applications that later became part of CATIA.
