Sheffield Universities’ Managing Directors’ Club
Strong partnerships and collaboration are key driving factors behind great innovation and economic growth. Established in 2015 by the University of Sheffield and Sheffield Hallam University, the Managing Directors’ Club (MD Club) provides a forum for regional business leaders and key academics to share knowledge and ideas for future partnerships.
Members have the opportunity to hear innovative and forward-thinking keynote speakers alongside best-practice collaboration case studies from other industry members. Previous events have attracted high profile keynote speakers including Alan Norbury from Siemens, MOK the founder of the Innovation Beehive and Ian Livingstone who is the mastermind behind such iconic brands as Lara Croft: Tomb Raider.
MD Club member, Performance Engineered Solutions (PES) operate at the ‘front end’ of design engineering, innovation and research and will be exhibiting alongside the MD Club to provide an industry perspective on successful collaborative working.
“The MD Club is particularly good at creating an ideal atmosphere where business and academia can exchange ideas and discuss potential R&D opportunities in a relaxed and collaborative environment. A spirit of creativity and collaboration is often inspired by the thoughts of innovative, progressive keynote speakers at the events, with the topics being driven by the MD Club members.” Mike Maddock, Managing Director, Performance Engineered Solutions (PES)
