Roland DG return to DEVELOP3D LIVE 2020 to demonstrate advances in 3D milling technology developed under their DGSHAPE brand. This year, the spotlight will be on two devices with the same core technology, yet developed for entirely different sectors.
From rapid prototyping to industrial marking, the MODELA MDX-50 is a highly versatile, high-precision 3D milling machine. With the ever increasing need to develop product designs more and more quickly, this fully automated device is ideal for fabricating design and working models, not to mention in-house parts and jigs.
The automated features let users mill quickly and confidently with the aid of the 5-station ATC (Automated Tool Changer) and optional rotary axis unit. The auto-sensing function also corrects the tool length to ensure accurate milling in every job.
This 4-axis wet dental mill has changed the face of the dental industry, meeting the growing demand from dentists to offer same-day restorations in-house. To date, countless dentists have discovered how quickly they can get a return from their investment by offering their patients fast, accurate and highly aesthetic dental prosthetics. The DWX-42W enables wet milling of popular glass-ceramic composite resins, which also makes it a great addition to dental laboratories who rely solely on dry mills.
With any new system, its productivity can only be realised once the user is fully familiar with it. With this in mind, the DWX-42W is developed from the ground up to be as intuitive and user-friendly as possible and features an Expanded 6-tool Automatic Tool Changer, letting the device complete jobs with minimal intervention.
Visitors to stand A12 will not only get to see these devices in action up close, they can also avail of the expertise from DGSHAPE’s technical experts. With experience across a wide gamut of industries, they’ll be able to offer advice on almost any 3D milling application.
