Talk Abstract:
Layer by Layer manufacture processes, Additive Manufacturing provides design freedom to create complex 3D components. Product innovation is sought by companies to deliver a product that is more efficient or can deliver cost savings in the production process or for the end user. Realising this potential through the adoption of metal AM requires an understanding of the metal AM process from lightweight potentials, near net shape of final product, critical surfaces and post processing challenges. These factors are required to be considered in order to deliver the final product.
